The antioxidant and UV-filter activities of five coumarins are investigated by computational approach, using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT), in combination with M05-2X and cc-pVTZ basis sets. The optimized geometries, electronic structures, and intrinsic thermochemical properties of coumarins are first studied in the gas phase as well as in solvents (pentylethanoate and water).

Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang qua hồi cứu số liệu các trường hợp vi phạm chất lượng thuốc tại Việt Nam năm 2019 với mục tiêu “Đánh giá thực trạng vi phạm chất lượng thuốc tại Việt Nam năm 2019”. Năm 2019 có 135 thuốc vi phạm chất lượng gồm: 117 thuốc hóa dược, sinh phẩm và 18 vị thuốc cổ truyền, dược liệu đều là nguyên liệu làm thuốc. Thuốc dùng đường uống vi phạm chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất. Có 16 quốc gia với 99 lượt doanh nghiệp có thuốc vi phạm chất lượng, Việt Nam là nước có số lượt doanh nghiệp chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất, tiếp theo là Ấn Độ, Hàn Quốc và Trung Quốc.

Benzoxazole, important to pharmaceutical advancements, was synthesized through the condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and 2-aminophenol under acidic conditions and being characterized using 1H-NMR spectroscopy. This project revealed an efficient method for 2-phenylbenzoxazole synthesis using various acidic catalytic system. A solid catalyst mixture of p-toluenesulfonic acid and silica gel (TsOH-SiO2) in xylene solvent at 140°C generated the product at 69.66% yield.
