201 Primary mucinous skin cancer: A case report and review of the literature / Pham Duy Manh, Nguyen Xuan Hau, Nguyen Xuan Hien, Trinh Le Huy // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 262-266 .- 610

Primary mucinous carcinoma of the skin (PMCS) is an extremely uncommon skin cancer originating from sweat glands. We present a case of a male patient diagnosed with PMCS who was initially misdiagnosed with benign sebaceous cysts. A 62-year-old male patient presented to a private clinic with a chief complaint of a slowly progressing nodule located under his lower lip for the past two years; The nodule was locally excised . The histopathology analysis yielded a diagnosis of mucinous carcinoma with a positive circumferential margin. Reexcison was performed, and the final histopathology result was a small nest of mucinous carcinoma with a negative surgical margin.

To describe the clinical characteristics of dissociative disorders, a cross- sectional study was conducted on 57 adolescent patients diagnosed with dissociative disorder, from December 2021 to June 2023, at the Adolescent Health Department - Vietnam National Children's Hospital.

203 Inhibitory effects of trans-cinnamaldehyde on candida spp. Biofilm and planktonic form compared to nystatin: A comparative analysis / Dang Anh Tuan, Ngo Vo Thien Nhan, Pham Vu Nhat Uyen, Bui Thi Hong Loan, Jan Masak, Tran Ngoc Dang // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 167-175 .- 610

Trans-Cinnamaldehyde, an α, β-unsaturated aromatic aldehyde, was a derivative of Cinnamonnum obtusifolium - Lauraceae; its bioavailability allows it to be used in the treatment of fungal infections as Candida species causing opportunistic fungal infections are common today. Antibiotic resistance in fungi is often due to their ability to form biofilm. Therefore, new substances with antibiofilm were being investigated as alternative treatment. Representatives of Candida spp. were used to determine the MIC, MBIC50, MBIC80, MBIC100, and MFC of trans-Cinnamaldehyde compared to Nystatin which is used for treatment of Candida infections in Vietnam. The most important antibiofilm effect of trans-Cinnamaldehyde was demonstrated by the CLSI M27-A2 method. Trans-Cinnamaldehyde was given MBIC100 higher than PMIC from 10 to 20 times, while Nystatin was given MBIC100 higher than PMIC from 5 to 20 times. In addition, PMFC of trans-Cinnamaldehyde was equivalent (Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis) or only twice (Candida glabrata) PMIC. The jump in Candida biofilm inhibitory activity was short, from MBIC50 to MBIC100 (no intermediate value, MBIC80). Trans-Cinnamaldehyde extract, compared to Nystatin, had a generally similar effect in preventing the growth and loss of Candida spp. both in biofilm and planktonic form and was somewhat more effective against Candida spp. in biofilm form.

204 Physical function evaluation in older patients with knee osteoarthritis / Vu Thi Diu, Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, Nguyen Ha Giang, Tran Viet Luc, Nguyen Trung Anh // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 175-183 .- 610

Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common joint disorders of older individuals. It is a painful and disabling disease characterized by pain, stiffness. However, in Vietnam, the number of studies on this issue is still very limited, especially those on physical function. This study aimed to evaluate physical function in 178 elderly patients with knee OA. A cross-sectional study was utilized. Physical function was assessed by The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), Timed up and go test (TUG).

205 Efficacy of auricular acupressure using semen vaccariae (Wang Bu Liu Xing) seeds on acupoints of nada protocol in treating primary insomnia: A pilot study / Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu, Nguyen Truong Nam, Dang Truc Quynh // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 184-193 .- 610

This pilot study first aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of this twenty-day auricular acupressure using Semen Vaccariae (Wang Bu Liu Xing) in improving the sleeping conditions of primary insomnia patients. The secondary aim was to evaluate the improvement of some other self-reported symptoms caused by insomnia. A clinical prospective pre–post study was designed, enrolling 60 primary insomnia patients. Each patient was administered the auricular acupressure on five acupoints of NADA protocol of both ears by applying the Vaccariae seeds and was instructed to gently press 1 minute/acupoint each time, four times a day for twenty consecutive days.

206 Health-related quality of life and associated factors in children with crohn’s disease at Vietnam National Children’s Hospital / Nguyen Trong Phuoc, Le Thi Huong, Nguyen Thi Viet Ha // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 194-206 .- 610

Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is increasingly recognized as one of the goals of holistic healthcare. Crohn's disease is the most common inflammatory bowel disease that necessitates long-term management and increases the risk of psychological distress and social disruption, leading to impaired HRQoL in comparison to healthy controls. We administered the PedsQLTM 4.0 scale to 40 children aged 2 to 17 years with Crohn’s disease and their parents to evaluate the HRQoL of patients and define the variables that impact these individuals. Our study indicated that children with Crohn's disease experienced a decrease in their HRQoL in school functioning. We found that factors related to decreased quality of life in these patients included gender (female), stunting, living in low-income families, higher disease activity index, and undergoing surgical intervention.

207 Detection of pathogenic variants related to severe dominant monogenic diseases by non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT-SGD) / Dao Thi Trang, Luong Thi Lan Anh, Nguyen Duy Anh, Nguyen Huu Duc Anh, Nguyen Thi Sim, Nguyen Thi Hao, Tang Hung Sang, Tran Vu Uyen, Nguyen Hoai Nghia, Giang Hoa // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 1-8 .- 610

Report describes the first cases in Vietnam that identified pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants by NIPT-SGD in fetuses. These findings were compared with the diagnostic testing (whole exome sequencing/WES) on amniotic fluid/placenta tissue/umbilical cord blood samples. Single-gene NIPT detected pathogenic variants in the fetuses on TSC2, FGFR3, FGFR2 (two cases), and PTPN11 genes. All results coincided with the subsequent diagnosis. Preliminary research showed the potential of cell-free fetal DNA analysis for prenatal screening of dominant single-gene mutations.

208 Correlation between plasma renin concentration and plasma renin activity assays on the Maglumi 800 chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer / Luong Hue Quyen, Tran Thi Chi Mai // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 9-17 .- 610

Evaluated the correlation between plasma renin concentration (PRC) and plasma renin activity (PRA), and then PAC/PRC and PAC/PRA ratios on Maglumi 800 immunoassay analyzer. Forty-five plasma samples from volunteers were collected. PRC, PRA and PAC were measured by Maglumi 800 - a fully-auto chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. Correlation between plasma renin concentration (PRC) and plasma renin activity (PRA), and then PAC/PRC and PAC/PRA ratios were determined by regression analysis. PRC and PRA showed a good correlation (r = 0.88). The PAC/PRC and PAC/PRA ratios have a similar relationship (r = 0.757). Because of the advantages of the procedure and the independence of PRC from endogenous angiotensinogen levels, PRC may be used preferentially over PRA as high throughput screening tool.

209 Associated factors with domains of comprehensive geriatric assessment among older post-stroke patients / Tran Viet Luc, Nguyen Ngoc Tam, Nguyen Linh Chi, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 94-100 .- 610

This is a cross-sectional study conducted on 137 post-stroke patients aged ≥ 60 years old treated at the National Geriatric Hospital to explore some factors related to domains of comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA). The components of CGA assessed were medical status (nutrition; urinary incontinence, frailty, visual and hearing ability), functional status (Barthel index, instrumental activity daily living, risk of fall) and neuropsychological status (cognition and depression).

210 Malnutrition status and related factors in gastric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Ho Chi Minh City oncology hospital / Nguyen Ngoc Bich, Pham Hoang Dao, Le Thi Diem Trinh, Pham Duy Quang // .- 2023 .- Tập 173 - Số 12 - Tháng 12 .- P. 101-111 .- 610

Chemotherapy is one type of systemic treatment for cancer that causes side effects on eating and energy supply, leading to weight loss and malnutrition. Detecting malnutrition early in gastric cancer patients plays a critical role in implementing an effective nutritional regimen that can improve their nutritional status, prevent weight loss, and enhance their ability to withstand and respond to chemotherapy. The cross-sectional study was performed on 95 patients in Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital from October 2021 to June 2022.
