The small and medium sized enterprises are large proportion of the economy and are being encouraged to by government. In the current economic context, SMEs lending is an important activity that are highly profitable for commercial banks, but it simultaneously contains many risks and challenges. The undergraduate thesis “Small and medium enterprises lending situation at Dien Nam – Dien Ngoc Transaction Office, Quang Nam Branch of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam in the period 2010 – 2012” is done by the method of researching, collecting, synthesizing and analyzing reliable information and to codify the issues of lending activities generally and small and medium business particularly in commercial banks through 2010 to 2012. It analyzes and assesses the status of loans to SMEs in BIDV Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Transaction Office to see the results, limitations and causes. Based on the evaluation of operations and loan growth oriented SMEs in BIDV Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc, this thesis has proposed some solutions to improve SMEs lending of BIDV Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Transaction Office in the future.
