The graduation paper embarks on a study of real situation at reception department in Golden Sea Hotel. Through the analysis, I would like to give some suggestions for Golden Sea Hotel to improve the service quality at the Reception Department, I hope that suggestions will help the hotel and contribute to the growth of the hotel.

This paper is a suggested translation of chapter V “Motivating the Operational Team” in the book “100 Tips for Hoteliers” (2005). First, the student gives a general introduction about the reasons for chosing the topic, then translating the English version into Vietnamese version. Next, the student analyzes the vocabulary and complicated structures of the suggested translation version. The difficulties in the translation and some essential solution are suggested at the end of the graduation paper.

The graduation paper is performed with the aim of translating the IV “What affects mental health and well-being? Individual life stage and personal behaviours” in “Promoting Public Mental Health and Well-Being” by Jean S. Brown, Alyson M. Learmonth and Catherine J. Mackereth followed by John R. Ashton, Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2015”. This graduation paper translates the English language into Vietnamese language and analyzes two version about syntax, semantic and some difficult structures and vocabularies. Besides, the writer gives some difficulties in translation and suggests solutions to solving this problem.

Part A - Introduction: includes rationale, aims and objectives, scope of the study, text features, text length and text organization, Organization of the Study. Part B - Development encompasses: Chapter I is theoretical background about translation. Chapter II is original version of chapter 3 of part one: “Origins: Where does our “cultural” come from?” which is followed by my suggested translation. Chapter III contains the analysis of some typical difficult words, idioms, phrases and structures. Chapter IV consists of difficulties which I encounter and solutions which help me overcome these difficulties. Part C – Conclusion.

This graduation paper is carried out with the aim of translating chapter 2 of the book “100 Tips for Hoteliers – First Edition by Peter Venison, 2005” from English to Vietnamese. Another purpose of this graduation paper is the analysis of procedures of translating the text from which the difficulties and corresponding solutions are suggested. Besides, the thesis will be divided into three main parts: part A, part B, and part C. Part A is an introduction part which will be written about rationale, aims and objectives, scope of the study, text features, text length, text organization of study paper, text source and the methods of the study. Next, part B is a department part which includes four following chapters: The chapter one consists of theoretical background, principles and methods of translation; the chapter two is suggested translation; the chapter three which analyses section of vocabulary and structures for the translation; and the last chapter is difficultes and solutions. Finally, further researches are suggested for those who are in favor of this topic to go on perfecting this research that is part C to taking about conclusion and suggestions.
