This Graduation Paper is a translation of part of a book on management. The translation is done with chapter V “Mainstreaming Madrasah education in the Philippines: Issues, Problems and Challenges”, which is extracted from the book “ Islamic studies and Islamic education in Contemporary Southeast Asia”. An analysis of vocabulary and structures as well as suggestion are also included as reference for those who deal with the translation especially on culture, education and society.

This Graduation Paper is a translation of the book. The purpose is to translate chapter 1 (from 1.1 to 1.4.3) with the title “Criteria and context” which is quoted from the book “Ecotourism” from English to Vietnamese. In this chapter, the author describes the origin and definitions of ecotourism and concept of sustainable development. I also analyze the vocabulary and complicated structures of the suggested translation version. The difficulties in the translation and some essential solutions are suggested at the end of the graduation paper.

In my graduation, I would like to research and suggest some solutions to improve the quality of serving buffet at SaigonTourane hotel- restaurant. There are some main contents of this graduation paper: theoretical background, hotel introduction, the table of figures related to restaurant department in this hotel are investigated, from which analysis and evaluation are made to suggest some solutions to improve the quality of serving buffet in there.

It is also the English original text that I translate into Vietnamese and analyze hard-to-translate vocabulary and structures. In addition, there are some common difficulties that the translator has faced in communication book translation and effective solutions to solve them. Finally, I proposed the implications for language teaching and learning, for translators as well as for anyone who are interested in communication field.

Through the suggested translation of chapter 7- Tourism and Environment of this book, I hope everybody in general and the Vietnamese in particular understand as well as get information about the relationship between tourism and environment. To understand clearly about the close connection between tourism and environment, I examines and translates specific aspects including types of environmental impacts, environmental planning process, carrying capacity of the planning area, some environmental planning policies and principles, environmental planning of tourist attractions, and environmental impact assessment.
