This article is to describe and critically evaluate the issued scoring rubrics of the two productive skills – Speaking and Writing; and basing on an analysis and modification of the descriptors, to propose revised versions of the marking rubrics. The product represents the more concise and clearer rubrics.
This paper investigates the interpersonal meaning of English and Vietnamese letters to the Editors by using Appraisal Theory, which focuses on the interpersonal metafunction of language. The data were chosen from 100 samples of letters to the Editors. Attitude system was employed to find out the similarities and differences in construing interpersonal meaning between English letters to the Editors (ELTEs) and Vietnamese letters to the Editors (VLTEs).
The study empirically investigate the relationship between tourism receipts, exchange rate and economic growth in the period 1990-2017 and define whether the tourism -led growth (TLG) hypothesis for Vietnam. The study implements Vector Error correction Model, Granger causality tests, variance decomposition with data in the periods 1990 -2017.
Media relations is one of the very important tools of PR (Public Reations) and also an effective tool in handling media crisis. Constructing an evolutionary-algorithm-based cantilever retaining wall design approach. Differential Evolution (DE) and the feasibility rule-based constraint-handling (FRBCH) method are integrated to achieve the research objective. A DE based software program incorporating FRBCH has been developed with Visual C# .NET to facilitate its implementation.
Manufacturers constantly have to encounter fluctuated product demands. Accordingly, it is required to establish a production schedule that meets the future demands and concurrently has a low level of daily labor/materials’ deviation. This study constructs an evolutionary algorithm for achieving this task. The Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm and the feasibility rule based method for constraint handling are integrated to develop this evolutionary algorithm. The proposed approach has been verified by two cases of production scheduling.
This paper reviews air pollution situation in Ho Chi Minh city and Ha Noi. We also recommend policies to tackle the problem: (i) upgrade the national air quality standard, (ii) install systematic and high-quality network of monitor stations, and (iii) remove means of transport that unmet emission regulations.
