Regression analysis is an essential task in construction engineering. This article aims at reviewing state-of-the-art research works involving the use of metaheuristic optimized machine learning regression models. Recent research articles published in the time period of 2019-2021 are surveyed. Research areas of construction material, construction management, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, and structural health monitoring are taken into account. It is expected that the present review would enhance interest among the new users in the application of metaheuristic optimized machine learning regression approaches.
862A review of the bioactivity of beauvericin - a bioactive compound produced by fungi
Beauvericin is a well-known insecticidal, antibacterial, antiviral and cytotoxic mycotoxin with a cyclic hexadepsipeptide structure that is a piece of the enniatin antibiotic family. It could be applied in several fields such as insecticides and pharmaceuticals. Other aspects of beauvericin like the toxicity and the determination techniques were mentioned in previous reports but there are seldom published about the bioactivity. Therefore, this is the first review discussing some various bioactivities of the fungal substance beauvericin such as insecticidal activity, and antitumor activity.

This paper reviews air pollution situation in Ho Chi Minh city and Ha Noi. We also recommend policies to tackle the problem: (i) upgrade the national air quality standard, (ii) install systematic and high-quality network of monitor stations, and (iii) remove means of transport that unmet emission regulations.

This study develops a software program used for nonlinear data analysis based on the Sequential Piecewise Linear Regression (SPLR) [1]. The SPLR is a regression analysis method relying on the concept of hinge function to identify locally linear relationship in datasets. Thus, this method can effectively used to capture nonlinear functional mapping. In this study, the SPRL software program has been developed with Visual C# .NET framework 4.6.1. The usefulness of the newly developed program is verified via several data modeling tasks.
