The research scope of the graduate paper is Chapter 6 - The crisis of decolonization: Southern Africa extracted from Odd Arne Westad's book “The Global Cold War: Third World Interventions and the Making of Our Times”. The study aims at finding the causes of ambiguity factors and then suggesting some possible strategies to overcome the problems. In addition, I practice my ability to analyze complex terminology and structures by applying theories, translation strategies, and theoretical issues to documents. My translation abilities have greatly increased as a result of translating and studying this thesis. Moreover, I also learned how to deal with problems in the original text to get a better version of the proposal.

The graduation paper includes the theoretical background, the original version, the suggested translation, and the analysis of vocabulary and structures for the translation process. Furthermore, the paper also includes my difficulties and solutions in the translation.

Finally, further researches are suggested in part C conclusion andsuggestions for those who are in favor of this topic to go on perfecting this research.

Author choose to translate the book about education field, because education is never considered as a boring topic and is the most practical and familiar to students like me. First, author give a general introduction about the topic, then translate the English version into Vietnamese version. Besides, author analyze vocabulary and grammatical structures in this chapter. Moreover, through this graduation paper, I myself find out some difficulties in educational translation and put forward some effective solutions.

The book “The mountain is you” is an excellent place to start learning about the behavior patterns and thinking that keeps us from getting what we want out of life. Therefore, I chose this book for my graduation paper. Based on the theoretical basis and the original version, I created the recommended translation. Besides, through this translation process, I knew the study numerous challenging vocabularies namely words with multi-meaning, idioms, terminologies, and advanced structures in the translation process which are all included in the graduation thesis. In addition, towards the conclusion of my graduation thesis, I identified certain obstacles and suggested some ways for students to improve their translation skills.
