This paper isa about chapter 4 "The rise of modern marriage" in "The marriage problems" book of James Q. Wilson. The graduation paper translates the original version and studies the translated version of this report. Besides, the paper also finds out some difficulties in the economic and social translation. Finally, some essential solutions are suggested.
