An analysis of the suggested translation of chapter 1 from the book "Women have always worked: an historical overview" by Alice Kessler-Harris,1981
Tóm tắt:
This graduation paper is about how work has shaped female lives and sensibilities. It also illustrates different aspects of women's paid and unpaid work, and shows how their roles have changed over the past two hundred years. The book weaves together the experiences of poor, wealthy, middle-class women; trade union, professional and volunteer women; immigrant, nonEnglish speaking, and black women; tracking their labor from the colonial household to the factories and beyond. I translated chapter 1 from English into Vietnamese. In addition, I analyzed several required and challenging vocabulary and structures in the section of my graduation paper. While studying the process, I was able to identify certain obstacles for myself as well as solutions to my translation flaws. Furthermore, I provided various translation-related remedies towards the end of my graduation paper. Additionally, this graduation paper is completed in time.
