This paper is a suggested translation of chapter II "Schooling and family in the postmodern world" in the book "Rethinking educational change with heart and mind" (1997). General introduction about the reasons for chosing the topic, translating the English version into Vietnamese version. Analyzes the vocabulary and complicated structures of the suggested translation version. The difficulties in the translation and some essential solution are suggested at the end of the graduation paper.
