In this work, the influences of boric acid and high alumina cement used as modifying additives on the formation of CaO∙Al2O3 and CaO∙2Al2O3 were studied. Herein, commercially available chalk of the M-90 label and technical alumina of the G-0 label were utilized as initial raw materials. Heat treatment of powder mixtures with various concentrations of modifying additives was carried out in the temperature range of 1250-1350oC with an isothermal exposure times of 1h and 2h. It was found that the addition of additives into the raw mixture affected the ratio of target phases and the temperature interval of the phase formation of calcium-aluminate minerals.
This literature review aimed to synthesize the research findings related to simulation challenges in medical education and provide recommendations to overcome these difficulties. Methods: Eleven articles were reviewed after searching from databases of CINAHL, MEDLINE, and Google Scholar. Results: Four themes were revealed, namely, student disengagement, human resources, technical issues, and time constraints. Based on these findings, recommendations were provided to help readers overcome the inherent challenges of simulation-based training. Conclusion: Besides the benefits that simulation brings to medical education, many challenges exist. Educators need to discover, test, and find ways to improve existing challenges.
In this paper, we investigate the mixture of Erlang and exponential approximation based on the first three moments and the matrix-exponential representation of mixed Erlang and exponential functions. Besides, a number of numerical examples are given to illustrate the quick convergence of the method in the cases of the first three moments of uniform distribution on . Moreover to illustrate this method, a numerical example is given with different initial reserves of insurance company.
A molecular docking study of three natural acridones, namely citrusinine-I, 5-hydroxynoracronycin, and paratrimerin C on a target enzyme DNA polymerase μ (Pol μ), was performed. In addition, the hydrogen peroxide anion (HOO─), a model radical, and delavirdine, a synthetic drug, are used as ligands for docking on this target protein to investigate the activity of the selected compounds to protect Pol μ protein against their harmful effects. The interaction sites and binding energies (Gbind) were determined. The results reveal that 5-hydroxynoracronycin (Gbind: -5.82 kcal/mol) exhibits a higher binding activity to Pol μ protein than the other acridones and HOO─ as well as delavirdine. These acridone compounds illustrated the beneficial effect of protecting Pol μ against harmful HOO─ species and commonlyused delavirdine drugs.
Keterite Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films were fabricated by spray pyrolysis deposition using aqueous precursor solutions with and without the addition of HCl. The effects of HCl on the crystallinity, morphology and photovoltaic properties of CZTS thin films were investigated. The results showed that the presence of HCl had significant effects on the crystal growth, grain size, and surface morphology of the fabricated CZTS thin films resulting in the improvement of the photovoltaic properties of the solar cell.
In this paper, we present p-adaptive meshing algorithms (p-refinement and unrefinement) for triangular finite element meshes. The algorithms are designed to keep the computation cost low, and the neighboring elements are not too different in degree. In addition, we can prove that if we start with an admissible mesh, then each element can be refined at most once using the proposed algorithms. This is important because after a p-refinement there is no way to estimate its error without resolving the whole problem.
This research work aims at developing a logistic regression based data classification model. This model method is developed in Excel VBA to ease its practical implementations. The newly developed program has been tested with two basic data classification tasks.
In this study, the raw quail eggshell powder (RQEP) was utilized as a cheap and environmentally friendly adsorbent to remove methylene blue (MB) from aqueous media under different conditions. The morphology of the prepared adsorbent was determined by scanning electron microscopy. The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were used to model the adsorption data. The obtained results showed that the adsorption of MB on RQEP was well-fitted with the Freundlich model. The optimal conditions for the MB adsorption were also established. The RQEP material has been shown to be effective in MB treatment in aqueous solution with a maximum adsorption capacity of 11.47mg/g.
Yasunari Kawabata (1899 - 1972), is a remarkable talent in the art of expression and the richness of genres and themes, and ideas in modern Japanese literature. He was born and raised in the country's comprehensive renewal of the country from economy, politics, and society to culture, Kawabata was dominated by Western liberal and democratic ideas. This has contributed to creating a new look for Japanese literature: young, rich, and bold. It can be seen that modernism largely influenced Kawabata's composition, particularly in the short story genre. However, he is not only a modern writer but also a traditional writer. The combination of East-West flows in his writing underground produces created literary masterpieces in which the modern element also carries very distinct personality traits. Therefore, learning about Modernity in some of Kawabata's short stories is a research way that we are very interested in contributing to deciphering some of the success of a writer.
In the era of technology, digital transformation trend has made a great impact on higher education in both international institutes and universities in Vietnam. Especially, recently a few digitalized universities in Vietnam have been acknowledged by the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. Among Vietnamese Universities is Duy Tan University ranked in the top 500 with the position 401-500 by THE in 2022, and one of a few world-class universities in Vietnam. The great achievement that DTU has got is due to the flexibility in employing digital transformation to meet the educational requirements during the Covid 19 pandemic. As a result, for the last two school years DTU assured the rate of graduates on schedule despite the severe pandemic. Digitalization is one of many crucial factors that helps Duy Tan University get such a high ranking. In order to help readers comprehend the digitalization for higher education, the study focuses on the benefits and challenges that digital transformation has brought in higher education through the survey of 154 English-majored students and 30 lecturers at Faculty of English, Duy Tan University. In addition, possible solutions to challenges are suggested so that other higher education institutes can get valuable lessons in digital transformation. It is hoped that digitalization for higher education becomes more and more popular and learners can get its benefits more easily.
