Việc tiêu thụ đồ uống có đường có liên quan đến việc tăng năng lượng ăn vào, tăng cân, thừa cân và béo phì, từ đó dẫn tới sự phát triển của một số bệnh không lây nhiễm như tiểu đường và các bệnh tim mạch. Tổ chức Y tế thế giới khuyến nghị đánh thuế đối với đồ uống có đường là lựa chọn chính sách quan trọng nhằm giảm mức tiêu thụ sản phẩm này. Để hạn chế các hậu quả tới sức khỏe, giảm chi phí y tế liên quan đến việc sử dụng đồ uống có đường và để tăng khả năng tiếp cận các thực phẩm lành mạnh, có lợi cho sức khỏe, Việt Nam cần đánh thuế tiêu thụ đặc biệt với đồ uống có đường.

Bệnh nhân được chẩn đoán áp xe đồi thị vỡ vào não thất dựa vào triệu chứng lâm sàng, kết quả chọc dịch não tủy và hình ảnh tổn thương trên phim cộng hưởng từ sọ não. Bệnh nhân được điều trị trong 8 tuần với liệu pháp kháng sinh đơn thuần. Bênh nhân khỏi bệnh và không để lại di chứng. Áp xe đồi thị là một bệnh lý rất hiếm gặp ở trẻ em, chỉ được mô tả trên y văn dưới dạng các báo cáo ca bệnh đơn lẻ. Bệnh cần được phát hiện sớm và lựa chọn các phương pháp điều trị phù hợp để hạn chế các biến chứng, đặc biệt là áp xe vỡ não thất.
