42783Molecular and particle modelling of laminar and turbulent flows

Turbulence is the most fundamental and, simultaneously, the most complex form of fluid flow. However, because an understanding of turbulence requires an understanding of laminar flow, both are explored in this book.Groundwork is laid by careful delineation of the necessary physical, mathematical, and numerical requirements for the studies which follow, and include discussions of N-body problems, classical molecular mechanics, dynamical equations, and the leap frog formulas for very large systems of second order ordinary differential equations.Molecular systems are studied first in both two and three dimensions. Extension into the large is also of great interest, and it is for this purpose that we develop particle mechanics, which uses lump massing of molecules. All calculations are limited to a personal scientific computer, so that the methods can be utilized readily by others.

42784Molecular biology : 3rd ed.

Emphasizes the experimental data and results that support the concepts of molecular biology such as DNA transcription, translation, replication, and repair. Experimental methods are covered. The text presumes a prior course in general genetics.

42785Molecular biology : principles and practice

It introduces fundamental concepts while exposing students to how science is done. Part 1: Foundations; Part 2: Nucleic Acid structure & methods DNA and RNA; Part 3: Information transfer DNA; Part 4: Regulation .

42786Molecular biology of eukaryotic cells : problems and previous exams

Presenting organization of DNA, Cell cycle and DNA replication, Genetic engineering, Transcription, Gene structure and RNA processing,...

42787Molecular biology of the cell : 2nd ed.

This edition is illustrated in full colour and features many new panels, drawings, and diagrams. A complete reorganisation reflects new discoveries, new emphases and new approaches. Areas covered include signal transduction, intercellular protein sorting, gene regulation, control of cell division and developmental biology.

42788Molecular biology of the cell : 6th ed.

The entire illustration program has been greatly enhanced. Protein structures better illustrate structure-function relationships, icons are simpler and more consistent within and between chapters, and micrographs have been refreshed and updated with newer, clearer, or better images. As a new feature, each chapter now contains intriguing open-ended questions highlighting "What We Don’t Know," introducing students to challenging areas of future research. Updated end-of-chapter problems reflect new research discussed in the text. Thought-provoking end-of-chapter questions have been expanded to all chapters, including questions on developmental biology, tissues and stem cells, the immune system, and pathogens.

42789Molecular biology of the gene : 4th ed.

This text offers a complete view of molecular biology, covering the general principles and specialized aspects of the gene. The aim of the work is to show readers the challenge, excitement and possibilities of scientific research in molecular biology.
