Correiates of pain among patients with osteoarthritis in Vietnam

A total of 172 subjects between 18 and 91 year-old participated in the study. 69.8% of subjects were educated to junior high school level or lower, 51.2% were women, 85.5% were laborers and farmers, 66.3% were smokers, and 70.9% were alcohol consumers. We found that there were significant correlations among pain, anxiety, depressive sate and comorbidities.

The objectives of the study were (a) to assess pain after surgery and (b) to examine the mood of patients before and after the accident trauma and (c) to assess the pain and psychology correlation before and after surgery.
