The paper is an analysis of the embedded clause in written English. The analysis is to focus on the frequency of the embedded clause in articles on economy and politics and the difficulties of the 3rd - year students at Duy Tan university in translating sentences containing this structure. The paper also concludes some suggestions of studying with the embedded clause to help English learners overcome obstacles and avoid mistakes.
