In this study, we observed the evolution of a cavitation bubble induced by focusing a nanosecond-pulsed laser on an epoxy-resin surface using a photoelasticity imaging technique. The radius-time curve of the bubble within the first 1000 ns was reported for different pulse energies from 20 to 60 mJ.
Aiming at the same goal as HTS, virtual screening (VS) has been developed to reduce cost and increase efficiency. Recent studies show that VS can deliver numerous quality hits and a few of them even reach clinical trials. This paper uses HTS as a background to discuss the contributions, limitations and research trends in VS field as these two technologies complement each other.
Study convergence in probability for the estimator of nonparametric regression model based on pairwise independent errors with heavy tails. Firstly, we investigate laws of large numbers for sequences of pairwise independent random variables with heavy tails. By applying this result, we investigate convergence in probability for the estimator of nonparametric regression model.
Aimed to find suitable methods with high accuracy, this present study evaluated 11 DFT functionals and 11 common basis sets in the calculations of 13C chemical shifts for bakuchiol.
This work intends to provide a comprehensive overview of structures and different types of lignin, as well as the recent progress in its preparation techniques. Besides, the extensive range of applications and opportunities of lignin were also discussed in detail.
In that guidance, the third statement indicates that supplement of micronutrients such as vitamins A, D, B, C, omega-3 as well as another micronutrients as zinc, iron and selenium can help to reduce adverse clinical outcomes during viral infection. Other studies suggest the effectiveness of natural products and vitamins in the inhibitory antiviral activities vs. SARSCoV-2. Herein, we resume the latest discoveries with vitamins C, D and quercetin in the prevention and treatment against the SARSCoV-2.
This study develops an advanced tool for tackling constrained optimization problems based on an integration of feasibility rules and differential evolution metaheuristic. This tool aims at finding a solution with the most desired objective function value and concurrently satisfies all of the problem constraints.
In this work, we prepared and studied spectroscopic properties of Dy3+ ions in lithiumsodium aluminoborate glasses. Judd - Ofelt theory has been used to evaluate intensity parameters Ωλ (λ = 2, 4, 6) by analyzing the absorption spectrum of ABLN: Dy3+ glass, and calculated the radiative transition probabilities, branching ratios, radiative lifetimes of 4F9/2 excited level, stimulated emission cross - section for selected.
This article is to describe and critically evaluate the issued scoring rubrics of the two productive skills – Speaking and Writing; and basing on an analysis and modification of the descriptors, to propose revised versions of the marking rubrics. The product represents the more concise and clearer rubrics.
This paper investigates the interpersonal meaning of English and Vietnamese letters to the Editors by using Appraisal Theory, which focuses on the interpersonal metafunction of language. The data were chosen from 100 samples of letters to the Editors. Attitude system was employed to find out the similarities and differences in construing interpersonal meaning between English letters to the Editors (ELTEs) and Vietnamese letters to the Editors (VLTEs).
