Grounded on theories of language (Blair, 2000; Britton, 1970; Halliday, 1991; Vygotsky, 1978), this research aims at analyzing and understanding children’s oral language in an English Language Arts classroom at an elementary public school in western Canada. Proximal Development. This research also showcased that respectfulness for cultural diversity in classrooms and teacher’s pedagogies and support are beneficial for children’s language development.

The purpose of the article is to provide a comprehensive overview of script issues of 52 ethnic minorities in Vietnam in five main areas: Truong Son Tay Nguyen, Tay Bac, Viet Bac, Central Vietnam, and Southern Vietnam. To achieve this aim, the researchers adopted an interdisciplinary approach, which is language-culturology, languageethnography/ anthropology, along with a sociolinguistic approach. With the combination of two main methods, namely Field Research Methods of Linguistics and Expert Interviews, the study analyzes the relationship between script and culture, the importance of script in preserving information and ethnic culture in Vietnam, the advantages as well as the limitations of traditional and new scripts existing among ethnic minorities in Vietnam.

3 Blended learning for vietnamese-english specialised translation: an exploratory case study at a university in Vietnam / Tran Thi Thao Phuong // .- 2023 .- Vol 7 (N2) .- Tr. 218-232 .- 400

This study paper provides a complete analysis of the integration of the blended learning model in a Vietnamese-English specialized translation course in a university context. The study dives into the perspectives of 75 participants about the success of the blended learning strategy, using a qualitative case study design, thematic data analysis, and the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework as a lens. Importantly, the research holds implications for pedagogical practices in translation education, emphases on the significance of technology integration, utilization of diverse learning resources, and adoption of student-centered approaches to maximize the benefits of blended learning in this area.
