56381Real-Time animation with Adobe character animator : Animate characters in real time with webcam, microphone, and custom actions
This guide to Character Animator gives you a comprehensive overview of the app, helping you learn the entire process—from importing a character designed in Adobe Photoshop to animating a sequence. Complete with background art, multiple character rigs and Character Animator project files, this book will show you how to animate a scene in Character Animator from start to finish.
56382Real-time scheduling problems : in a general flexible manufacturing system
1. Introduction; 2. The workcenter scheduling problem; 3. The multiple-machine tardiness problem; 4. The shop scheduling problem.
56383Realtime systems
Realtime Systems provides a comprehensive introduction to the essentials of systems, with a revealing examination of the state-of-art. It promotes an integrated approach with emphasis on both rigour and development of practical skills. It focuses on key issues, ranging from mathematical approaches for capturing requirements to important techniques for resource management scheduling, fault tolerance and clock synchronization. The book presents an overview of formal frameworks for realtime systems based on Petri nets and communicating sequential processes. Throughout the text fundamental concepts, design paradigms, algorithms, and techniques are illustrated with extensive examples drawn from a host of practical applications.

Introduction: the coolest year, the new GNU thing, a minor rebellion, factor X, patching up, root then boot,...
56387Recent advances in quantum Monte Carlo methods
This volume focuses on recent advances in this area. QMC as used here refers to methods that directly solve the Schrodinger equation, for example, diffusion and Green's function Monte Carlo, as well as variational Monte Carlo. The latter is an approach to computing atomic and molecular properties by the Monte Carlo method that has fundamental similarities to basis set methods with the exception that the limitation to one-particle basis functions to facilitate integral evaluation is avoided. This feature makes possible the consideration of many-body wave functions containing explicitly interparticle distances - a capability common to all variants of QMC.
56388Recent advances in sustainable process design and optimization
This book is a compilation of the various recently developed techniques emphasizing better chemical processes and products, with state-of-the-art contributions by world-renowned leaders in process design and optimization. It covers various areas such as grass-root design, retrofitting, continuous, batch, energy, separation, and pollution prevention, striking a balance between fundamental techniques and applications. A large section of this book focuses on industrial applications and will serve as a good compilation of recent industrial experiences for which the process design and optimization techniques were practised.
56389Recent developments in theoretical physics
This volume covers recent developments in the major areas of theoretical physics. The scope of the book ranges from small length scale (High Energy Physics, Neutrinos ...) through medium scale (Nuclear Physics) to large length scale (Condensed Matter Physics) up to classical and quantum Black Hole Physics. It also deals with topics in nonlinear physics, econophysics, new ideas in quantum mechanics, quantum information and quantum computation.
56390Recent trends in radiation chemistry
This volume is a review of the trends in the field of radiation chemistry research. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from the historical perspective, instrumentation of accelerators in the nanosecond to femtosecond region, through the use of radiation chemical methods in the study of antioxidants and nanomaterials, radiation-induced DNA damage by ionizing radiation involving both direct and indirect effects, to ultrafast events in free electron transfer, radiation-induced processes at solid-liquid interfaces and the recent work on infrared spectroscopy and radiation chemistry.
