26/02/2015Joint Japan World Bank Group Scholarship Program. Deadline: March 19, 2015.
This scholarship program aims to reach up-and-coming policy makers, technical experts and leaders working in developing countries across the fields of development. These potential candidates might include, for example, contacts with development experience, contacts from a ministry, a sector that works with the Bank offices or an NGO that works on development projects.
An applicant must be a developing country national with at least 3 recent years of development related experience. Most importantly, they must commit to returning home after graduation and apply their enhanced knowledge and skills towards development of their country. All applications must be online. Applicants must belong to one of the following three profiles and meet the related requirements
1. Local Government Officials at provincial and district levels, staff from Vietnamese NGOs, and staff of provincial enterprises (not enterprises based in large cities)

3. Tertiary Education Institution Lecturers (including TESOL) and Researchers

VEF Fellowship and Visiting Scholar Programs for 2016. Deadline: April 10, 2015.
VEF is an independent federal agency of the U.S. Government with the primary purpose of promoting the bilateral relationship between the United States and Vietnam through educational exchanges. The fields of studies supported by VEF are sciences (natural, physical, and environmental), technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine (including biomedical sciences as well as epidemiology, nutrition, and biostatistics within public health).
Please find timelines and application process of the 2 programs for the year of 2016, as below:
1. Fellowship Program for Cohort 2016: Approximately 34 Fellowships for Vietnamese nationals to pursue graduate studies (Master's or Master's/Ph.D. programs) in the U.S., through cost-sharing agreements between VEF and highly-regarded U.S. universities.

2. Visiting Scholar Program for Academic Year 2016-2017: Up to 3 grants for Vietnamese nationals to under-take postdoctoral professional development programs in the U.S., from 5 to 12 months.

Fulbright Program in Vietnam - Vietnamese Student Program AY 2016-2017. Deadline: April 15, 2015.
Approximately 20 to 25 fully-funded scholarships are granted on an annual basis. Successful candidates will pursue a Master’s degree that begins in the academic year 2016-2017. Fulbright Vietnam will arrange placement at universities in the United States. Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship which covers tuition and fees, monthly stipend, round-trip airfare to the United States, and health insurance.

Third call for research proposals of the IDRC GrOW program: The effects of women’s economic empowerment on economic growth. Deadline: March 31, 2015.
The Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) program announces a new call for proposals: for a systematic review of existing evidence of the effects of women’s economic empowerment on economic growth.
The call encourages in particular researchers with a strong record of undertaking and publishing evidence synthesis, with familiarity with systematic principles and standards, and consortia and north-south partnerships that ensure high quality and impact.
The project duration cannot exceed 24 months, including all research activities and final reporting. The total budget available for this exercise is up to CAD 500,000.
